I am a Junior Research Fellow with the background of Chemical Enginnering at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, focused on carbon-based nanomaterials for dye-sensitized and perovskite solar cells, with interests in co-sensitization, interfacial engineering, tolerance improvement, stability enhancement and device performance optimization.

Simulation of liquid flows using OpenFOAM and ANSYS

B.Tech Project: Developed and validated porous-media flow models in ANSYS for laminar and turbulent flows, analyzing pressure drop and velocity profiles.

Energy Efficient Transportation of Heavy Crude Oil with CAF inducing Device

Proposed and validated a novel static in-line device for stabilizing core-annular flow, achieving up to ~57% pressure-drop reduction and ~93% pumping-energy savings at ultra-low water cut.

A Novel Core Annular Flow Inducing Device for Energy-Efficient Transportation of High Viscous Oil

Identified the stability of Core Annular Flow with different oil-water flow rates, observe the fouling impacts and suggesting a device to re-induced Core Annular Flow.

Material Balance and Furnace Efficiency Optimization in DHDT Unit, IOCL Haldia

  • Performed sulfur material balance and process optimization for BS-VI compliant diesel in the DHDT unit at IOCL Haldia.
  • Analyzed furnace efficiency and optimized flue gas parameters in the DHDT unit.
  • Designed and optimized the diesel-feed preheater heat exchanger (thermal & hydraulic).

  • Simulated 50+ MATLAB simulations to validate OpenFOAM results for Bingham-Plastic fluids
  • Analyzed yield stress regime, viscous regime, transitional regime and elasto-inertial regime to identify fingertip behaviour.
